My name is Alexandra Martinez and I am a passionate photographer who fell in love with the incomparable beauty of the Camargue in the South of France.
A love of photography and nature are two things that I have carried with me since childhood. Growing up in the Eifel with a variety of animals, I grew up with a deep respect and affection for all living things.
My travels first brought me to the Camargue about six years ago, where I was immediately drawn to the wild beauty of the landscapes and the diversity of wildlife, including the white Camargue horses and the various bird species.
I quickly decided to combine my passion for photography and wildlife and began offering photography workshops and sanctuaries in this beautiful region.
I specialize in photographing semi-wild Camargue horses and various bird species. Every encounter with these wonderful creatures is an unforgettable experience for me and it is a pleasure for me to share these experiences with my clients. Working with a herd of about sixty semi-wild Camargue horses in particular has transformed into a deep relationship of trust that I share in my photography workshops and classes.
I also offer photo sessions that capture the typical image of the Camargue, such as horses galloping on the beach or in the marsh. But I also want to go further and offer the participants of my workshops the opportunity to immerse themselves with me in a hidden world and to explore and photograph the real life of Camargue horses.
In my work as a photographer, I strive to capture the natural beauty and spirit of the Camargue in my images. I firmly believe that a deep respect and understanding of wildlife is essential to creating authentic and moving images.
As a nature and animal enthusiast, I place great importance on ethical photography. This means that I always respect nature and its inhabitants and never jeopardize their well-being for the sake of a photo.
I am very proud that my work gives me the opportunity to connect others with the beauty of the Camargue and its unique wildlife. It gives me great pleasure to share my passion with others and to see my participants discover their own enthusiasm for Camargue horses.
Thank you for your interest in my work and I look forward to meeting you during a shooting.
